Shades of the Taliban and the Afghani Buddha statues, I'm afraid. And just in time to host several predominantly Catholic countries in Beijing next year!

I'm not religious at all, but at the very least I can respect the faith of others. Would that others could do the same.

Totalitarians of all stripes understandably bear hatred towards anything that threatens to divide the masses' undying devotion to them.
