The cold really does make you sick

I've always been skeptical of claims that "Oh, you don't get sick because of cold weather, you get sick because of viruses." Well, I know that viruses cause the infections, but why do we seem to get more of them in the winter? Here's the answer:

The answer, they say, has to do with the virus itself. It is more stable and stays in the air longer when air is cold and dry, the exact conditions for much of the flu season.
